IT was basically make or break for the Redmen second grade side against Snappers on Saturday who have turned the corner in recent weeks. Notching up their third win on the trot, Grafton hung on for a well-deserved 34-24 victory.

The win breathed life back into their finals campaign and now sees them in the top four for the first time this season.

Thanks to a dominant forward pack and some Fijian backline magic, at one stage, Grafton held a commanding 31-5 lead.

However, some overzealous refereeing resulting in a series of yellow cards saw them reduced to 12-men which invited Snappers back into the contest.

The final score line flatted the opposition who took full advantage of a depleted Redmen outfit.

Tyler Hancock produced his best game of the season, getting over the advantage line in attack and pulling off some punishing hits in defence.
