IT was a must-win game for the Grafton Redmen first grade side against Kempsey on Saturday and they delivered with a nail-biting 27-19 victory.
Down 14-10 at the break, Grafton clicked into gear late in the second-half with star rookie winger Isaac Barker scoring a try and laying on another for back-rower Ed McGrath, who also picked up a treble.
The Cannonballs threw everything at the home side in the dying stages of the match, however, Grafton’s scrambling defence held firm.
