Grafton once again struggled in the top grade, however second grade continued their impressive form winning premierships in 2000, 2002 and 2004.

It was not until 2006, under captain-coach Gary Powell which saw the Club raise the first-grade shield with a victory over a strong Casino outfit.

The 2000s were an unsettling period for the Club which saw them from alternate between the Mid North Coast to the Far North coast competitions.

2018 saw Grafton go ever so close to a premiership berth, however a come-from-behind performance from Coffs Snappers in an epic preliminary final dashed any hopes of victory.

In 2021, one of the darkest periods of the Clubs long history, the Redmen joined the Far North Coast Village competition due to lack of numbers and playing depth.

Covid further disrupted the competition until in 2022 Grafton voted to again move back to the Mid North Coast Zone.
