THE Redmen under-14 side set the scene for what was about to unfold at Rugby Park South Grafton on Saturday with a 69-5 thumping of Hastings Valley Vikings.
Grafton ran in 11-tries to one in a dominant display over their rivals.
With a comfortable 29-5 lead at half-time, Grafton continued their onslaught after the break running in seven unanswered tries.
Kye Hogg notched up a personal tally of 18-points with two tries and four conversions while scrum-half Harry Barber provided excellent service from set plays to enable his outside backs to run rampant.
Once again back-rower Keegan Kamoto caused plenty of headaches for the opposition defence as did Isabella Moran who was arguably one of Grafton’s best players on the day.
