THE Grafton Women’s side held on for a dramatic 40-34 victory over Kempsey in their second trial game of the season on Saturday.
After exploding out of the blocks, Grafton looked like racking up a cricket score until a spirited second-half comeback saw the home side keep the game in the balance with only minutes left on the clock.
For Grafton, Tamar and Yuri McHugh were simply superb while speedster Aaliyah Browning caused plenty of headaches for the Kempsey defence out wide.
